The development of new products and services is a critical component of growing and maintaining your business and staying ahead of the competition.

Product development is not limited to the creation of new products and services.  It is a very broad discipline, not only covering the whole process of taking an idea through to finished product but also the modification of existing products and services and the pursuit of new uses (applications) and markets.

In this session, Kent Alexander, will drive a discussion on how strong program and project management skills are required to drive decisions and ultimately the successful launch of new business opportunities.

While only recently earning his PMP certification, Kent Alexander has been using proven program and project management tools and methodologies for more than 20 years to lead business and product development programs.  Kent has worked for Amoco Chemical Company and then BP Chemicals, CBRE and most recently ANGUS Chemical Company.  In addition to business and product development, Kent has significant experience transitioning and transforming account and vendor relationships to affect organization change and improve performance.

Kent graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Chemical Engineering and from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a MBA in both Marketing and Finance.  While the two schools are fierce rivals, Kent is an avid fan of both.
