The retrospective is a regular meeting where Agile Team members discuss the results of the iteration, review their practices, and identify ways to improve. It is a collaborative process among all members, including the team, the Product Owner, and the Scrum Master.
We all know the great statement: “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it”. One of the most powerful elements of project management is to learn from the past. Practically all management methodologies include some component of learning from our past. In recent years, the concept of the Retrospective has gained a great deal of recognition and adoption, especially in the Agile community and it is now spreading quickly through pretty much every industry and also all organization business areas, such as Finance, HR, Legal, Operations, etc. In this workshop, we will review the concepts behind the retrospective, understand the motivation and benefits, and learn the mechanics of running a formal retrospective activity. We will finish with a fun exercise and Q&A.
1. Understand what a retrospective is
2. Practice conducting a retrospective
