Topic: Drowning in Details: Turning Tech Talk Into Everyday Language

Abstract: As project managers you are often the bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders. Effective communication between stakeholders isn’t optional—it’s essential. But too often, conversations about complex technical topics like Kubernetes, observability, or CI/CD pipelines go off the rails, leaving non-technical listeners confused and disconnected. In this session, we’ll explore how to bridge that gap. Whether you're working with developers, onboarding new team members, or reporting to executives, you’ll learn practical strategies to help guide your teams to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling language. We’ll dive into tools like analogies, visual metaphors, and storytelling techniques that ensure your message lands—without losing its substance. As well as a few lessons from an unlikely source. Perfect for project managers who collaborate with engineers, product teams, or clients, this talk will help you lead with clarity, align your stakeholders, and keep everyone rowing in the same direction

Learning Objectives:

  • Lessons in communication from an unlikely source…Gen Z.
